This is a Bible study tool designed to take us through the entire Bible in 2 years. Six days a week (Monday through Saturday) there will be a post telling you what the assigned readings are. Some days there will also be comments from me. These are intended to provide material for devotional meditation and practical application. Please feel welcome to post questions or comments so that we can encourage each other. May God bless our study!
I was struck by Sheba's response to Solomon, "you surpass the report that I heard. Happy are your wives! Happy are these your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the LORD your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them forever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness."
Especially so after yesterday's message. Solomon didn't make all this things happens because he had a plan or because he was rich or famous. These things were possible because of where he placed God and God's plan in his life, doing so in love, with justice and showing humility.
Interesting how a message can linger past its conclusion.
